Team Background & Affiliations
The W.S.A.P. Barracudas, established in 1982, is one of the oldest summer swim teams in the area, with members primarily hailing from the Williamsburg Square and Ashton Place neighborhoods. As a proud member of the Gaithersburg-Germantown Swim League (GGSL), the team competes alongside six other teams from the Gaithersburg and Germantown areas. The summer swim league offers young swimmers the opportunity to:

The Williamsburg Square/Ashton Place (W.S.A.P.) Barracudas Swim Team is committed to providing a positive and supportive recreational environment where swimmers can learn, develop their skills, and have fun. In addition to improving swimming abilities, the team emphasizes the values of sportsmanship, team building, and community involvement.
Supported by the Williamsburg Square Ashton Place Homeowners Association (HOA), the Barracudas Swim Team fosters a sense of community while offering a fun and engaging experience for swimmers of all ages.
